During the two days of the Festival, the adventure channel Epic Tv with Matthew Groom and Hugo Pilcher will cover the Festival’s events.

10:00 - 18:00 BEGINNERS ACTIVITY
Platosi beginners Crags, at the entrance of Fyli
Getting to know climbing for youth and beginners, free climbing under Rock Climbing instructor’s supervision.
Certified Ε.Ο.Ο.Α. instructors, under the superivision of George Voutyropoulos, Mountain Guide, will help youth and whoever wishes to get acquainted with rock climbing, using the essential equipment (harnesses, helmets and ropes) which will be provided.
For youth under the age of 18 wishing to climb, a specific procedure will be followed, provided they are accompanied by their parents.
Specific details for those belaying beginner climbers will be announced later on.
Registration is necessary (Old Town Hall of Chasia Square) in order to take part in the prize lotteries by our sponsors.

Climbing Marathon
Open endurance contest for sport climbing parties by categories: a. women, b. men, c. mixed,
by categories based on points:
- 1. up to 6c
- 2. 7a and above
Prizes per Category
Free Registration is necessary (Old Town Hall of Chasia Square) in order to take part in the Climbing Marathon. Memorabilia will be given upon registration. Results, awards and gifts will be given at the Old Town Hall at 20:00.
16:00 Platosi Cave
Nicholas Favresse, Steve McClure and Mumin Karabas will be climbing the overhanging routes of Platosi Cave.
PARALLEL FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES
07:30 Goura Canyon
Parnitha: Canyoning at Goura Canyon. Going downhill a canyon which has been explored by many rock climbers and nature lovers, under the guidance of the CDC store team along with Adventure Club. The canyon has running water during Springtime. The route needs basic rapel techniques and is suitable for jumps. Duration of activity 6-7 hours. Phone registering with E.P.O.S. Fylis at 0030-210-2411148. Depending on participation, the event will be repeated on the same time at Sunday. Equipment will be available for rent. The meeting point is at the Old Town Hall of Chasia Square.
08:00 West Parnitha Forest
Hiking Parnitha: Easy Route: dirt road – Dartheza Monastery – Skete of Agios Antonios – Agios Georgios Keramidi – Agios Kyprianos (loop route) W.T: 4.30-5, E.D: 450, D.L: 1
Hard Route: Follows the same route up to Agios Giorgios Keramidiou. The route continues at the fabulous fir tree forest at Koumpoula – Kiafa Pene – Kiafa Eliou – Megalo Horafi – Agios Kyprianos (loop route) W.T.: 5.30-6, E.D.: 550, D.L: 1+ Registering beforehand with EPOS Fylis phone number is necessary (0030-210-2411148).

Via Ferrata West Parnitha «Arma»: Duration 3 hours.
Meeting point is at the Old Town Hall of Chasia Square.
Training seminar in via ferrata techniques in part of the West Parnitha «Arma» route in at the banks of Goura Canyon, by the CDC store team with instructor Nikos Mitsakis. Limited number of participants. In case of large participation requests, the training seminar will be repeated at 13:00. Enrolling with EPOS Fylis phone number (0030-210-2411148). Necessary equipment (available for rent): helmet, harness, safety carabiner, 4 lines, Energy Absorber.

Kids Hiking at Parnitha: Paths of the Water: Gianoula’s Water Channel – Goura’s Stream or Keladonas river. Playing and getting to know about flowers and plants. Hiking for kids from 7 to 12 years old. Coordinators: Grigoris Grigorakis and Krina Anagnostopoulou.

Slackline, Fun lines. Free lessons by the Hybrid Slacklines team for young and older participants with competitions and gifts. Everyone is invited to meet the art of slackline acrobatics!

with Kyriakos Kyriakakis, at a stunning location over «Platosi». Everyone can enjoy watching but only experienced at it may take part.

21:30 Crag: Platosi (Cave)
Partying and night climbing at an illuminated climbing crag with our foreign guests.
The meeting point for hiking, Via Ferrata and canyoning activities is at the Old Town Hall of Chasia Square («N.Liakos»). Upon registering to the Festival and receiving memorabilia, participants will be transported to the starting points of each activity.
All who take part and climb during the two day Festival of 13-14/4/2019 necessarily accept and acknowledge that: «each individual climbs with his sole responsibility and is therefore solely responsible for his actions. Present instructors and members of E.P.O.S. Fylis have a mere advisory and supportive role». The use of a helmet is mandatory for climbing at the crags during the Festival.
During the Festival at spaces around the climbing crags, young and older participants may take part in other recreative activities like yoga, hiking, via ferrata, canyoning, slackline, etc. under the guidance of experienced professionals who will take part in the festival as our sponsors. The starting points of the activity venue are mentioned in the Festival Program.
Throughout the Festival, Fylis Town Hall will host a photography exhibition from the files of E.O.O.A. «History of Greek Rock Climbing and Mountaineering: Giorgos Michaelidis, Katerina Gkeka, the first teachers».
Al activities will be hosted with the help of Hellenic Rock Climbing and Mountaineering Federation's rock climbing instructors, junior instructors and experienced climbers who have volunteered to help. Instructors, instructor’s assistants: George Voutyropoulos, Akis Karapetakos, Dionisis Stravogennis, Manolis Foundoulakis, Vaggelis Kanaris (the rest of the names will be posted at our Facebook page soon). During the Festival there will be a presence of: a mobile unit of the Red Cross, a team of rescue instructors of E.O.O.A. , a team of the Greek Rescue Team (E.O.D.) Attikis, et al.
Climbers arriving to Attiki: there will be a specifically organized space for sleeping in tents near the rocks of Trokaneza.

Platosi beginners cragss, at the entrance of Fyli.
Getting to know rock climbing for youth and beginners, free climbing under instructor’s supervision.
Experienced Ε.Ο.Ο.Α. instructors, under the supervision of Mountain Guide George Voutyropoulos will help youth and whoever wishes to get acquainted with rock climbing, to climb, using the necessary equipment (harnesses, helmets and ropes) which will be provided.
For youth under the age of 18 wishing to climb, a specific procedure will be followed, provided they are accompanied by their parents.

Goura Crag
Free climbing at the 26 climbing crags of Fyli.
George Voutyropoulos and Argyro Papathanasiou guide Nicholas Favresse, Steve McClure and Mumin Karabas at «Goura»: climbing crag located at the impressive Goura Stream where they will test their technique, attempting hard routes and first ascents at routes like Enedra 8α+, Hot Stone 8b and three project routes: Kouros, Ghetto, Pocket Gun, with the presence of Epic Tv.
Along with them will be athletes of our Club as well as our Balkan Champion Panagiotis Nanousis.

Via Ferrata West Parnitha Arma: Skammeni Strofi - Panagia – South and Central Arma – Sarri Cave – Kiafa Kalamara – Skammeni Strofi (loop route). Activity duration W.T.: 5.30-6, D.L: 3+
The meeting point is at the Old Town Hall of Chasia Square.
A via ferrata route of medium difficulty addressed to experienced rock climbers and hikers. Limited number of participants. Enrolling with EPOS Fylis phone number (0030-210-2411148). Necessary equipment (available for rent): helmet, harness, safety carabiner, 4 lines, Energy Absorber.
Whoever wishes may stay and watch Nicholas Favresse, Steve McClure and Mumin Karabas climbing the routes of «Goura» crag.
08:00 West Parnitha network of paths
Hiking Parnitha: Hard Route: Kleiston Monastery map kiosk– Strati – Kiafa Marista – Goura’s Stream – Pan’s Cave –Tamilthe – Kalogerika – Giannoula’s Water Channel– Kleiston Monastery map kiosk (loop route).
We begin an uphill route inside a young pine tree forest, through Strati, with a view to the ancient Fyli Fortress. We go through a thick pine forest towards Kiafa Marista height and go down following a path through a fine fir tree forest. The route now continues inside a mixed forest and as it goes near Goura’s Stream turns to a rocky section, goes down the river with thick vegetation and up to Pan’s Cave. We visit the cave which has been a ceremonial location for celebrating Pan since ancient times. We climb upwards using ancient carved steps, with the aid of fixed equipment and follow the path to Tamilthe Spring, Kalogerika, part of Giannoula’s Water Channel, go through Goura’s Stream again and end up where we started. 09:00 West Parnitha network of paths
Hiking Parnitha: Easy Route: Fortress of Fyli – part of the ancient road – Thodora’s Stream – Dipotama – Fyli. The meeting point is to the Fortress of Fyli. We will then hike towards Thodora’s Stream passing through part of the ancient road, next to ancient water channels for water collection, following part of the ancient Hadrian’s Aqueduct, we will go through Dipotama where Keladonas or Goura meets Thodora’s Stream and we will end up at Chasia. We will then be transported by a municipal van to the Fortress of Fyli. W.T: 4-4.30, A.D: downhill 700μ., D.L: 1+ (7,8Km) Coordinator: Grigoris Grigorakis. Kids Hiking: Fyli – Dipotama – Fyli: Hiking from Fyli to the banks of Goura’s Stream, up to the point it meets Thodoras Stream – Dipotama. Suitable for children from 8 to 15 years old. Coordinator: Grigoris Grigorakis.
